Who are Phil & Alex?
Philip Thompson started working as a designer for a print firm in Aberdeen, Scotland. Not quite happy with the limitations of traditional print design, he expanded his horizons by delving into multimedia production. Working with new media formats, Philip pushed the use of interactive programming into the realms of fine art. After a secondment to London, returning to Aberdeen for the birth of his daughter, Philip challenged himself again, successfully taking on the MFA course at Gray’s school of art. With a huge range of skills, he embarked upon self-employment and is currently co-ordinating Creative Cultures Scotland, as well as continuing with his design and fine art practice.
